Best Alternative Study Destinations for Australia for Now

Abroad study in australia is not a fashion, as it is a necessity in the modern world of education. With easy access to the internet, sitting in a bedroom, we can virtually visit what developed countries are offering to their students. We cannot compare the flexibility of developed countries’ education with our 6 days/week types of education in Nepal, yet we are far behind in delivering quality education. This should be the obvious reason for anyone who is willing to apply to abroad study.

Well, Australia has been an attractive study destination for years for Nepalese students; however, due to some recent financial restrictions, Australia has been quite difficult for average income holders’ Nepalese students. So, there are thousands of Nepalese students, who are currently in dilemma regarding their next study destination or many students are almost unknown of other study options than Australia. So, in this blog, I would like to explain briefly about those countries, which can be equally as effective as your education in Australia. And, I believe this article will be very useful to a particular group of students who are trying to find out the next study option apart from Australia.

1. Canada

Canada is one of the favorite study destinations for overseas students alongside the USA, the UK and Australia. Canada is currently the No. 1 best country in the world for quality of life. Canada offers quality and applied education at different levels from College Diplomas to Higher Research Degrees like PhD and Post-Doctoral programs. All right, I would like to come to the point that why Canada is a suitable study destination for Nepalese students at the moment. Honestly speaking, quality education as well as the high visa success rate and affordable tuition fees have been a great attraction lately to many Nepalese students towards applying to Canada. Students with good academic and financial capacity are getting visas for any level of study; amongst them, we are receiving high volumes of applications for 2 years duration of College Diplomas programs from +2 passed students. Students with 1 to 2 years of education gaps from the 12th class are also getting admissions and visas to study in Canadian Colleges that normally have tuition fees in a range of CAD 15,000 to 17,000 per annum.

Students with good GPAs are getting scholarships from CAD 500 to CAD 3,000 per year and more, which brings down the tuition fees to CAD 12,000 to CAD 14,000, i.e., NPR 1,100,000 to NPR 1,300,000 per annum fees for a year in Diplomas, which we consider affordable. Normally, international students are allowed to work for no more than 20 hours per week off-campus during their academic term. But now, from 15th November 2022 to 31st December 2023, international students who have off-campus permission on their work permit will not be limited to 20 hours per week. Also, students will get post-study work visas after the completion of their courses. Therefore, Canada has been a very attractive study destination at the moment for Nepalese students. If you are looking to apply to Canada, your next available intake will be in May followed by September; however, there are many colleges in Canada that offer many intakes, so I kindly request you to visit your nearest Kangaroo office to study in Canada.

2. United States

The USA is the most popular study destination in the world. And, you can choose the USA as a reliable study destination. Quality education, a unique curriculum, a multicultural environment, and ample opportunities are the main reasons for students choosing to study in USA. Furthermore, its hassle-free documentation is also a big appealing factor. Students who meet the academic requirements may apply to the USA without financial documents like annual incomes, tax clearance and property valuation. It does not mean the USA is a second option to Australia. The USA itself is a powerhouse, home to world-class universities and a dream country for many international students. If you are looking to apply to study in the USA, the next available intake is January, May and August/September.

3. United Kingdom

The UK is the second most popular study destination after the USA for overseas students; however, the number of applications for study in UK has increased profoundly in recent months because of its high visa success rate for eligible applicants and no mandatory financial requirements like property valuation, annual incomes and tax clearance; however, 28 days of a bank balance or education loan is required to cover a year of tuition fees and 9 months of living expenses. Furthermore, the teaching and study methodology used in the UK gives us the freedom to be creative and develop skill sets and confidence. The flexible study, applied course contents, availability of placement, 20 hours of part-time work during term time and unlimited work opportunities during vacation, then 2 years of a post-study work visa after the completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree are other lucrative points about studying in the UK. If you are looking to apply to study in the UK, January, April, May and September intakes are the main intakes.
